Associate Engineer – Primary Container & Device Testing / Analytical Lab Support (Vials, Syringes, Packaging Systems)Location: Thousand Oaks, CA. 91320Employment Type: ContractBusiness Unit: DP? Pre-Comm. Packaging DevelopmentDuration: 18+ months (with likely extensions and/or conversion to permanent)Pay Rate: $30 - $34/hour W2Notes: Only qualified candidates need apply. Role is expected to be onsite 3 times a week. Please send in local candidates. Candidates who either live within a 50 mile drive or would be willing to relocate. Contract is 18 months.Job Description:Ideal candidate: flexible with overtime during the week when necessary. Rarely will they need to work over 12 hours in a day. Preferring bachelor's degree in Bioscience or Engineering.Position involves support of senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for primary containers (vials, stoppers, and syringes) and medical devices.

Responsibilities include:Employing basic science and engineering skills and practices to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for executionAssisting with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessmentsWhy is the Position Open?Supplement additional workload on team.Top Must Have Skills:Technical writing skillsStrong ability to analyze data generated from a variety of analytical techniques and systems is preferredPrevious lab experience in Engineering or Biochemistry labs is helpful but not requiredDay to Day Responsibilities:Assist engineers with the following:Designing studies and drafting protocolsCompiling historical data from different analytical systemsAnalyzing data and presenting resultsWriting summary reportsExecuting protocols, including lab testing (using vacuum decay leak tester, Instron force testers, balances, microscopes, pressure chambers, analytical measurement equipment such as calipers, optical comparators, bore gauges, automated stoppering units, pipettes, and decrimpers).Basic Qualifications:Bachelor degree OR Associate degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experiencePrevious lab experienceStrong oral and verbal communication and presentation skillsExperience in analysis of data generated from a variety of analytical techniques is preferredRed Flags:Candidate has inflexible scheduleCandidate cannot work possible overtimeCandidate cannot work onsite at Thousand Oaks, CABachelor's degree not in Science or EngineeringInterview Process:One-on-one phone screening, followed by an in-person 1:6-10 person group interview (Virtual interviews for non-local candidates)Interviews can start immediatelyWe invite qualified candidates to send your resume to If you decide that you're not interested in pursuing this particular position, please feel free to take a look at the other positions on our website You are also welcome to share this opportunity with anyone you think might be interested in applying for this role.
