The position will be located in Iuka, MS. This position will support our C shift on a 3/12 schedule Friday-Sunday, from 7:00am to 7:30pm.The selected candidate will provide critical hands-on support in a high-volume high-mix production environment, working closely with Operations, Quality, and Design engineering. Our goal is to minimize downtime on the production line by troubleshooting, problem solving, and proactively identifying areas of concern.

Our engineers work to continuously improve their processes, eliminating process variation and waste while building in quality. Join us in the team effort to meet our production goals!Responsibilities:Work closely with manufacturing personnel to tackle production issues in hand and machine-aided layup, automated fiber placement, autoclave cure, CNC and water jet machining, and nondestructive inspectionDevelop processes by studying requirements; research, design, modify, and test production/deployment methods and equipmentCollaborates with Design Engineering on design to ensure practical manufacturing and fabrication solutionsMaintain and distribute daily shift issue logs, documenting both resolved and pending equipment/production issues for enhanced communication and transfers of information between shiftsAuthor, modify, and audit shop floor procedures and electronic work instructions (EWIs)Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defectsTroubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implement robust improvements and solutionsThis position may be filled as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer Level 1 or as a Manufacturing Engineer Level 2Basic Qualifications:Associate Manufacturing Engineer Level 1 :Bachelors Degree and 0 years of work experience in a manufacturing environmentExposure to Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance in order to apply and startAbility to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)Manufacturing Engineer Level 2:Bachelors Degree and 1 years of work experience in an engineering manufacturing environment role; OR Masters in STEM field with 0 years of experience.Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience with reading and understanding engineering drawings and specificationsExperience with knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance per company and business needsAbility to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per company and business needsPreferred Qualifications:Active U.S. Government ClearanceActive Special Program Access (PAR)Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similarKnowledge of composite hand layup, fiber placement, bonding, and/or curingKnowledge of composite machining using CNCs and/or water jetsExperience with a CPLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systemExperience using NX or similar CAD softwareExperience using SAP and MES or similarDemonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniquesExperience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specificationsPrimary Level Salary Range: $56,700.00 - $85,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,200.00 - $102,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
