Sales Representative, Small Business Services
ADP is recruiting a Sales Representative to work within a defined geographic territory targeting medium‑size business clients (1–49 employees). The role involves acquiring new payroll, tax, human resources, benefits, and other ADP solutions for clients, while upselling additional services to existing customers. The SF role includes relationship cultivation, appointment setting, lead generation from business partners, needs assessment, and closing business in the field.
Responsibilities
- Grow the business and meet sales goals independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Convert prospects into loyal clients and “raving fans” by executing tailored sales strategies focused on decision makers and business owners.
- Deepen relationships across the ADP portfolio and consistently pursue additional sales opportunities within existing accounts.
- Act as an ADP ambassador and trusted advisor, partnering with clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining ethical conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Positive, self‑starter with persistence, strong time‑management, and the confidence to cold‑call.
- Problem‑solving mindset that can adapt to rapid change and find creative solutions.
- Growth‑oriented learner who continuously seeks improvement and challenge.
- College degree is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience may include 1–2 years in retail, marketing, business development, food service, insurance sales, or military experience emphasizing teamwork, resilience, and negotiation.

- Cold‑calling experience; assertive, positive, and persistent style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time‑management and goal‑orientation to exceed quotas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
