We are seeking an Associate Director, Social Media to join our growing team.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and evolve social platform expertise: counsel clients and internal teams on best practices for overall social strategy, with a deep understanding of platform functionality, formats, and emerging trends across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, and more.
- Social content & channel management: steward content timelines and review processes, ensuring timely approvals and efficient feedback coordination between clients and account teams. Review and approve social publishing and community management to maintain flawless client channel oversight.
- Team mentorship & oversight: cultivate growth of associates and managers through strategic counsel, coaching, and mentorship.
- Results & measurement-oriented thinking: partner with our data science and analytics teams to define KPIs, provide campaign insights, enhance performance, and inform future content strategy.
- Innovate: identify new social opportunities, build relationships with platform representatives, and develop fresh social media and digital programs rooted in business objectives, audience insights, and platform expertise.
- Trusted advisor: educate teams on the nuances and implications of social decisions, support clients, colleagues, and teams in navigating new platform POVs and issue management.

What You Should Have
- Minimum six years of experience, ideally in health, biotech or pharmaceutical social media.
- Demonstrated understanding of organic and paid social across channels, and ability to develop and present strategic social plans meeting client objectives.
- Highly organized, mindful of deadlines, and able to multitask and deliver quality work with limited supervision.
- Strong grasp of paid social fundamentals—including objectives, targeting, formats, and performance considerations—and ability to collaborate with paid media partners.
- Experience using social monitoring and measurement platforms; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Client service experience, preferably in an agency environment, and ability to collaborate effectively internally and externally as part of an integrated team.
- Proven success managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Understanding of FDA and FTC regulations guiding social media for biotech and pharma clients.
- Ability to grow social media business and participate in occasional new business pitches.
Pay Range
$100,000 – $120,000. This is the pay range the company believes it will pay for this position at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors, including work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
