Qualifications

Job Description

The Associate Director of IT & Ops supports the mission of the University by providing strategic leadership and technical stewardship of enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) systems that advance admissions and enrollment objectives. Reporting into the Admissions group, this position serves as the primary administrator for Technolutions Slate and related systems, ensuring their effective use in support of access, equity, student success, and institutional accountability.

The Associate Director collaborates closely with admissions, enrollment management, academic units, information technology, and institutional research to align system functionality with public university priorities, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards. This role is central to maintaining data integrity, improving operational efficiency, and enabling evidence‑based decision‑making across the student lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and functional lead for the University’s CRM platform, with primary responsibility for Technolutions Slate.
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance system workflows to support undergraduate and graduate admissions, recruitment, and enrollment processes.
  • Partner with campus stakeholders to analyze business processes, document requirements, and design scalable technical solutions that align with institutional policy and public accountability standards.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data integrations between Slate, the Banner Student Information System, and other enterprise platforms, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain operational and strategic reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support enrollment planning, forecasting, and compliance reporting.
  • Implement system automations that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance the experience of applicants, students, and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and institutional data privacy and security requirements, including FERPA, GDPR (where applicable), and University data governance policies.
  • Provide system documentation, training, and ongoing technical support to functional users across campus.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects and committees related to enrollment systems, data governance, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Provide supervision or project leadership, as assigned, consistent with University policies and practices.
