Associate Director Of Search Engine OptimizationAs Associate Director of Search Engine Optimization, you'll analyze search data to provide tremendous insights into the motivations of consumers, leading a team that's on the cutting edge of search technology, GEO and AI-powered search, and Organic Commerce strategies. You will play a key role in developing and overseeing integrated SEO, AIO/GEO, and organic marketplace initiatives (including Amazon, Walmart, and other retail platforms) to drive holistic organic performance growth for our clients.Day to day, your responsibilities will include:Clearly and convincingly presenting SEO, AIO/GEO, Local Search, App Store Optimization (ASO), and organic commerce capabilities to clients and best practices to internal teams.Developing and presenting proposals and recommended tactics across search engines, generative search platforms, app stores, and online marketplaces.Leading process improvement efforts to stay ahead of evolving trends in AI-powered and generative engine optimization.Overseeing the development and execution of Organic Commerce strategies for platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and emerging eCommerce channels.Developing or approving all scopes of work that include SEO, AIO/GEO, and organic commerce initiatives.Ensuring excellence and accuracy in all client deliverables, including those involving generative search and marketplace optimization.Collaborating with Delivery Managers on project timelines and with Staffing on resource needs, ensuring the integration of AIO/GEO and organic commerce specialists where needed.Developing and maintaining high-quality talent in the areas of SEO, generative search, and organic marketplace optimization.Qualifications:A four-year degree in marketing, computer science or a related field6+ years of combined experience in search engine optimization, project management or account managementProven leadership skills and prior experience managing a teamExperience scoping projects, providing forecasts and driving ongoing process improvementStrong analytical and problem solving skills – and a knack for detailsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and make smart, fast decisionsKnowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSSOutstanding leadership and people management skillsStellar communication and presentation skills – you're poised, articulate and convincingWillingness to travel as needed – you're open to new places, new faces and new ideasFamiliarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.Knowledge of and experience with AI Optimization (AIO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies and toolsExperience with Organic Commerce platforms (such as Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, etc.), including optimization of product listings, organic ranking strategies, and marketplace analyticsExpertise in Local Search strategy and optimization for multi-location businessesHands-on experience with App Store Optimization (ASO) for iOS and Android applicationsGot the sparkle?
