🧬 Associate Director, Product Management — Genomics/Molecular Diagnostics (100% On-Site in San Diego, CA)
An innovative San Diego-based genomics company is developing a next-generation platform for target detection, focused on sepsis, pathogen identification, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We're looking for a Product Manager to own product strategy and commercialization for this platform — a hybrid product + marketing role spanning RUO, LDT, and IVD development phases.
What you'll own:
🔹 Product strategy and roadmap, translating clinical/VOC insight into requirements
🔹 Business cases, financial models, and competitive analysis to guide investment decisions
🔹 Go-to-market strategy — positioning, messaging, pricing, and launch planning
🔹 End-to-end product launches and post-launch adoption tracking
🔹 Cross-functional partnership across engineering, assay, regulatory, and commercial teams
What we're looking for:
✅ 8+ years of product management/marketing experience in diagnostics or life sciences
✅ Hands-on experience with IVD and LDT development
✅ Track record building business cases and driving GTM strategy from concept to commercialization
✅ Molecular diagnostics experience in sepsis/pathogen ID strongly preferred
✅ Comfortable operating with autonomy in an early-stage, fast-moving environment
💰 $150K–$205K base salary, depending on experience
