About this role

Carrier Commercial Service has an opening foran AssociateDirector,Data CenterStart-up & Commissioning. This is an exciting opportunity to leadan organizationcomprisedof professional project managers& team leadersresponsible fora portfolio ofstart-up & commissioningprojects acrossData Center construction sites.

In this role, you willbe responsible forstart-up readinessand executionat strategic customer locationsin the Americas.You will also be responsible forresource allocation, governance,continuousimprovementand customer satisfaction.This is a high impact, strategicallyimportant rolededicated to ensuring flawless execution of newly delivered product,above and beyondperformance to customer SLA’s and stage-setting for long-term maintenance agreements.

The ideal candidate will have both strategic and tactical capabilities, includingdemonstratedproject management skills, field service staff hiring and leadershipexperienceand a proven ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team ofprofessional project managers dedicatedto the start-up,commissioningand field modification ofCarrier products for the Data Center vertical.
  • Develop a readiness assessment forthe start-up & commissioning team, ensuring deployment ofproject managersand technician resourcesforstart-up & commissioningprojects.
  • Work closely withdata center customers, contractors, sub-contractorsand commissioning agentsensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Lead the creationofa full lifecycle project plan for eachcustomer site.
  • Execute to the project plan,ensuring ontime delivery, within scope, and within budget.
  • Systemically trackand measure planned and actual start-up & commissioning activities.
  • Ensure flawlesson-timeexecution of start-up and commissioning at customer locations.
  • Meet customer performance expectations, resolving issues and escalating to senior leadership when appropriate
  • Function as singlepoint of contactfor start-up & commissioning.
  • Ensureeffective turn-over to field service National Teamand customer program office.
  • Continuously improve both business and operational processes, drivingvalue chain productivity.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 8+ years’ experience in direct or indirect leadership roles in operations, sales, aftermarket, strategy, or general management
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time within the USA and internationally ( Canada ) as required by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreein business, management, industrialengineeringor related field
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and/or learning agility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and executing complex projects.
  • Experience supervising field service technicians.
  • Deep experience in field service.
  • Strong ability to lead and develop diverse, cross-functional project teams to achievehigh levelsof performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead large programs, executing with speed andexhibitinga biasfor action.
  • Proven ability to manage teams without formal authority through influence and relationships.
  • Demonstrated skill in using project management tools.
  • Knowledge of service operations from start-up toend of lifereplacement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
  • Ability to quicklyidentifynew and innovative ways to work faster and simpler.
  • Ability tothink outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
  • Demonstratedresults in continually improving processes and driving field productivity.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
