Associate Director of Procurement

I'm currently partnering with a global technology organization on a search for an Associate Director of Procurement to lead and transform their indirect procurement function across North America.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing procurement strategies, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating supplier agreements, optimizing spend, and strengthening procurement governance across a wide range of categories, including IT, professional services, travel, banking, insurance, and corporate services. The position will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR, Internal Audit, IT, and executive leadership to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and support long-term business objectives.

Key areas of focus include:

• Strategic sourcing and supplier management
• Contract negotiation and vendor governance
• Indirect spend optimization and cost reduction initiatives
• IT procurement and technology vendor management
• Procurement policy development and compliance oversight
• Risk management, internal controls, and audit support
• SAP Vendor Master governance and process improvements
• Travel & Entertainment (T&E) procurement strategy
• Financial services, banking, and insurance vendor negotiations
• Procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing procurement strategies, managing enterprise vendor relationships, driving operational efficiencies, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the organization. Experience with SAP, procurement governance, indirect spend management, and complex contract negotiations is highly preferred.
