About This Role
The Associate Director of Nursing will participate in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the nursing service and nursing education program within a hospital or treatment center. This role is ideal for a highly motivated leader with extensive clinical experience and strong project management skills.

What You'll Do
- Perform all duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence.
- Participate in developing philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of nursing service and education.
- Assume responsibility for developing and implementing a staffing plan and directing recruitment and selection of personnel.
- Develop, plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate assigned projects and programs.
- Assist the Director in preparation of personnel, supply, and equipment budgets for nursing.
- Direct the evaluation of personnel performance.
- Participate in developing and maintaining relationships with community, labor, and professional groups.
- Assess nursing services by making rounds, conducting chart reviews, and evaluating patient care.
- Participate in a system of continuing evaluation of nursing service.
- Update and maintain required manuals and participate in research projects as applicable.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a hospital-based setting, Health Care Nursing Management, ED, ICU, or CCU patient care setting with three or more years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity.
- Licenses & Certifications: Familiarity with Epic H2O Hyperdrive preferred.
