Job Summary
This leadership position assists the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services in an Acute Care Hospital in St. Louis. The Associate Director of Food and Nutritional Services will oversee project management and assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering, etc), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, project management and all hospital-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring client, customer satisfaction and efficient cost-effective management.
- Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; while maintaining excellent relationships with patients, the Client, and other hospital departments.
- Promote the professional growth and development of the team.
- Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Project Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three (3) years of directly related experience.
- Certified Dietary Manager certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of direct foodservice operational management in a hospital, senior living or restaurant.
- Project Management experience.
- Inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- ServSafe® Certified.
