Associate Director of Dining

Salary: $70,000-85,000

Job Summary

This leadership position assists the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services in an Acute Care Hospital in St. Louis. The Associate Director of Food and Nutritional Services will oversee project management and assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering, etc), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, project management and all hospital-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring client, customer satisfaction and efficient cost-effective management.
• Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; while maintaining excellent relationships with patients, the Client, and other hospital departments.
• Promote the professional growth and development of the team.
• Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Project Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three (3) years of directly related experience.
• Certified Dietary Manager certificate preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of direct foodservice operational management in a hospital, senior living or restaurant.
• Project Management experience.
• Inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• ServSafe® Certified.
