The Associate Director of Nursing for Nursing Administration is a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing patient care and staffing while collaborating with clinical nursing directors to achieve organizational goals.

What You'll Do
- Assume 24-hour nursing responsibilities for all elements of patient care and staffing.
- Interpret organizational goals, mission, vision, and policies to staff.
- Oversee daily operations of the Department of Medicine and Critical Services.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage for assigned units.
- Conduct risk assessments to reduce adverse events.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety principles.
- Participate in the recruitment process and monitor staff retention.
- Ensure performance appraisals are ongoing and objective.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the Quality Improvement Program.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, or an equivalent field required.
Experience: Minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, with four years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity required.
Licenses & Certifications: Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
