The Associate Director of Nursing (Acute) plays a crucial role in the administration and management of the Emergency Department, providing support and oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

• Facility : Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center
• Department/Unit : EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE ADULT
• Schedule : Full-Time, Night (11:00 P.M – 7:00 A.M)

What You'll Do

• Coordinate Quality Improvement Committees.
• Monitor equipment availability, including stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Supervise compliance with Infection Control guidelines.
• Develop efficient systems for ED clinic referrals.
• Create patient education materials on various health topics.
• Monitor reported cases of heat exhaustion.
• Conduct inventory of all ED equipment.
• Manage preventive maintenance agreements for equipment.
• Oversee patient flow in the Emergency Department.
• Provide supervisory guidance for clerical staff.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration or related discipline required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with additional experience considered.

Experience

• Three (3) years of nursing experience with two (2) years in an administrative or supervisory capacity required.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid New York State RN License required.
• BLS certification may be required depending on assignment.
