Responsibilities
- Implement EHS programs to minimize workplace stressors, covering occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, chemical safety, risk management, environmental compliance, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
- Ensure site compliance with regulations, insurance requirements, and EHS policies.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and policies.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Oversee incident response and investigations.
- Drive change and best practices while ensuring compliance.
- Manage emergency response plans, conduct drills, and participate in emergency response teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree (or advanced education) in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field with 4+ years of EHS experience
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related industries.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT, and NFPA regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective stakeholder management.
- Experience with regulatory agencies.
- Team collaboration experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safe lab practices and handling biological materials.
