Associate Director - Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group
Location: New York, Chicago, or Toronto office.
Responsibilities
- Lead ratings analysis, execution, and research on new and existing North American infrastructure and project finance transactions.
- Identify relevant trends, assess credit impact, and present findings in industry and market focused reports and presentations.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and legal documents to produce ratings, publish credit reports, and contribute to special research reports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with analytical groups across Fitch to ensure consistency and efficient transaction execution.
- Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project finance related to infrastructure.
- Proven project finance and infrastructure credit skills from banks, rating agencies, or buy‑side credit departments.
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and spreadsheet‑based financial modeling skills.
- Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures; ask probing questions to issuers and advisers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Rating agency or ratings advisory work.
- Deep understanding and passion for infrastructure and project finance.
- Professional background in capital markets or credit analysis.
- Experience interpreting complex legal documents such as bank agreements and bond indentures.
- Leadership experience with stakeholder interaction.
- CFA designation.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Public Administration.
Other Information
Base pay for New York & Chicago roles will be between $110,000 and $135,000 per year; other compensation and benefits may apply.
