Position Summary

  • Associate Director of Biostatistics on cross-functional Development teams; contributes to trial design, protocol development, analysis planning, interpretation of results, and preparation of regulatory submissions. May support a particular indication/asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on innovative, efficient clinical trial design (population/endpoints) and project development strategy.
  • Defend protocols and analysis plans at internal governance reviews; independently review complex protocols.
  • Author and/or review protocols, statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, publications, and other study-level documents.
  • Present analyses and summary data clearly and transparently.
  • Provide statistical support/leadership for health authority requests and public release (publications/presentations).
  • Manage multiple studies ensuring standards and consistency within an indication/therapeutic area.
  • Apply statistical/clinical trials methodology to clinical development; partner on drug development as a matrix team member.
  • Ensure compliance with BMS processes/SOPs and quality of deliverables.
  • Contribute to statistical community of practice; develop/advice team members.
  • (People manager) Advocate for employees; coach/mentor; lead to empower/develop team; guide development plans; performance reviews/metrics.

Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills

  • PhD with 6+ years’ experience or MS with 8+ years in statistics/biostatistics (or related) with clinical trials/drug development/pharma/healthcare.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python; implement advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, graphing & simulation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, organizational, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Expert in statistical/clinical trials methodology; knowledge of regulatory landscape and regulatory interactions.
  • Strong planning/prioritization and project management.
  • People manager experience preferred (for people manager role).

Compensation (FTE)

  • Cambridge Crossing: $218,120–$264,308
  • Princeton, NJ: $189,670–$229,834
  • Seattle, WA: $208,640–$252,824
