About The Role
We are looking to fill the role of Associate Director on the Life model quality assurance team within the Actuarial Modernization organization, with responsibility for reviewing, testing and validating AXIS models to produce GAAP, statutory/Principles-Based Reserves, CFT and ALM results for Corebridge Financial's life insurance products.
We are seeking a strong individual with management experience as well as experience in model development and valuation to partner across functions to ensure we maintain best-in‑class models that are automated, controlled and operationally efficient to execute.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing test plans and test tools to validate and certify AXIS life models for STAT, GAAP LDTI, CFT and ALM basis. This includes both BAU model changes and new model conversions. Work with cross‑functional partners to successfully deliver objectives, including model stakeholders, data analysts, IT, Development and Production teams.
- Effectively communicate quarterly model changes and seek approvals through the Change Control Board. Be able to articulate drivers of model change impact.
- Work with IT team to ensure all model and data changes are fully promoted to production team. Conduct integration testing and release model and data to production environment.
- Ensure all steps of testing process are fully documented.
- Manage and work within a team that operates across multiple geographic locations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and work with resources to implement solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
- 7 plus years of experience with life insurance products, actuarial modeling and valuation
- Expertise in actuarial modeling software; Moody's AXIS is strongly preferred
- Experience working with databases such as SQL
- Programming expertise in Visual Basic, SQL or C++ is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem‑solving skills
- Previous people and project management experience
- Self‑motivated, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver multiple projects successfully under given timelines

Work Location
If the position is based in one of Corebridge Financial's hub offices which are Houston, TX, Jersey City, NJ. or Woodland Hills, CA, the role is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
