Associate Designer - Men's Graphics

Our client, a leading fashion apparel company, is seeking a creative and trend-driven Freelance Associate Designer, Men's Graphics to join their growing design team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong graphic design background, a passion for fashion, and a keen eye for emerging trends across the men's apparel market.

• Location: New York City (Hybrid)
• Pay Rate: $34/hour based on experience
• Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Research emerging graphic trends, artwork techniques, and print applications to drive seasonal innovation.
• Develop original graphic concepts, design presentations, and seasonal inspiration boards.
• Create and illustrate graphics for men's apparel, ensuring brand alignment and commercial viability.
• Partner with the design team to establish graphic direction across seasonal assortments.
• Provide creative guidance on graphic placement, scale, and execution.
• Organize and manage seasonal artwork libraries by concept and collection.
• Develop line sheets and color palettes for seasonal graphic tee programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Merchandising, and Production throughout the design process.
• Support key milestones including fittings, presentations, approvals, and product development reviews.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of graphic design experience within apparel, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop in a Mac environment.
• Strong understanding of color, trends, graphic composition, and garment construction.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with regular in-office collaboration based on business needs.
