We are seeking a motivated Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to join a growing legal team. This position offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced attorneys on a variety of criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and comfortable handling cases from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an independent caseload of criminal defense matters.
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other court documents.
- Conduct legal research and case preparation.
- Gather and review discovery and other case-related information.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress and strategy.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.
- Travel as needed for court appearances and client matters.
- Perform additional legal assignments as required.
- 2-3 years of criminal defense experience.
- Active license and member in good standing with the applicable state bar.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish or another language) are a plus.
