The McAllen, Texas office of Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman, LLP (WSHB), a national civil litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of civil litigation defense experience to join our growing litigation team. This is an on-site position requiring you to come into the office 5 days per week. We are seeking a motivated attorney capable of handling a broad range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, construction, transportation, business litigation, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities, and the ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff. You will work on cases through all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, strategy development, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.

Manage civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses. Prepare case analyses, litigation plans, and status reports for clients and insurance carriers. Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation defense experience.
