Associate Cad OperatorGAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Associate CAD Operator. This position will be hybrid, based out of Dubois, PA. The ideal candidate has good analytical thinking, problem-solving techniques, computer-aided drafting (CAD) experience, and excellent communication skills.

This position reports out of our Distribution group.Essential Job Duties:Design and permit distribution lines, including drawing preparation, bill of materials development, material ordering, and conducting field visits.Ability to conduct field visits and use information to create drawings.Utilize various software to create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs.Follow local utility and construction standards.Ability to learn, retain and apply on the job training and use design software packages efficiently.Ability to work effectively in design teams.Ability to multitask and prioritize work.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be flexible to handle shifting deadlines and scope changes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team setting.Other duties as assigned.General Characteristics:Follows Project and Task Manager to assemble drawingsMinimum Years of Experience:0 Years of ExperienceEducation:Associate Degree from an accredited Technical SchoolTechnical Responsibilities:Basic 2-D line work and text edits. Plot and create PDF drawings. Perform red-line edits. Follows basic QA/QC procedures.

Assist with general office function such as printing and folding drawingsProject and Task Management:Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scopeManagement Responsibility:No Management responsibilitiesClose supervision on work assignmentsCommunication Skills:Possess basic oral and written communication skills. Interacts effectively with other staff.
