Associate - Business/Litigation Construction

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Business/Litigation Construction Associate to join its office in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of litigation experience and a strong background in construction law and business litigation.

Duties

• Collaborate and work independently on complex design/construction projects.
• Participate in depositions, trials, and arbitration examinations.
• Manage high-level technical experts and complex arbitration processes.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and briefs.
• Interpret statutes, court rulings, and regulations for legal analysis.
• Document file activity per firm and client policies.
• Communicate responsively with clients to maintain relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in construction law and/or business litigation preferred.
• Complex arbitration and contract drafting experience a plus.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) beneficial.
• Prior experience in federal and state courts as counsel or law clerk preferred.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills required.

Education

• Strong academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Texas preferred.
