Associate - Business Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate for its Business Litigation team in New York, NY or Boston, MA. This hybrid role involves engaging in sophisticated commercial disputes and representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Duties

• Represent clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Research factual and legal issues and collaborate on strategies.
• Draft memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and briefs.
• Examine records and transactions underlying business disputes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments for comprehensive legal support.

Requirements

• Admission to New York or Massachusetts bar (required).
• Admission to Connecticut bar (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in business litigation.
• Federal or state judicial clerkship experience (preferred).

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school (required).

Certifications

• Admission to relevant state bar(s).
