Associate Attorney - Venture Capital for AI Startups

A leading corporate practice group is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Venture Capital and Emerging Companies team. This practice sits at the center of the firm's technology and life sciences client base, advising founders and venture-backed companies from formation through exit.

What you'll work on:

• Mergers & acquisitions for venture-backed and growth-stage technology companies, including AI/ML startups
• Financing transactions across the venture spectrum — seed through late-stage rounds, venture debt, and convertible instruments
• Exit strategy and execution, including strategic sales, secondary transactions, and IPO readiness
• Counseling founders and boards on governance, equity structuring, and strategic alternatives

What we're looking for:

• 3-7 years of substantive experience representing either emerging companies and start-ups in venture capital financings at a top-tier firm
• Genuine interest and deep knowledge of AI and other frontier technology companies
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills
• Ability to manage deal teams and work directly with sophisticated clients
