An established law firm in New York City seeks an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in trust and estate planning, administration, and litigation. Who You Are:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 2+ years of experience in Trust & Estates law, with a focus on estate planning, administration, and probate litigation
- Strong knowledge of New York Trusts & Estates laws and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
What You Will Be Doing?
- Assist in the preparation of wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
- Advise clients on estate and tax planning strategies
- Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters
- Prepare and file court documents for probate and estate administration
- Handle trust and estate litigation, including contested probate matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex trust and estate issues
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop tailored estate plans
- Manage client relationships and work independently while also working as part of a team
