An established, AV-rated litigation law firm is seeking a motivated and client-focused Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice. Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court for hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking or defending depositions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts.
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in bench and jury trials.
• Develop practical and cost-effective legal strategies.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri Bar license required.
• Federal court and Illinois licensure is a plus, or willingness to obtain.
• 0-5 years of litigation experience; judicial clerkship or relevant internship experience will also be considered.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, organized, and client-focused.
• Trial experience is a plus.
