Associate Attorney - Hybrid (Civil Lit/Insurance Coverage)We are a well-established San Francisco Defense firm seeking a motivated and detail oriented Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong interest or background in insurance coverage and related litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced trial attorneys and gain meaningful responsibility on sophisticated matters.About the RoleThe Associate Attorney will support and manage a diverse caseload involving insurance coverage disputes and civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent legal writing ability, and a proactive approach to case strategy and client service.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze insurance policies and assess coverage issues, including duty to defend and indemnifyConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and coverage opinionsAssist with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparationWork directly with senior attorneys on complex insurance coverage and bad faith mattersCommunicate with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counselParticipate in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations as appropriateQualificationsJuris Doctor JD from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law and in good standing or ability to obtain admission promptlyExperience or demonstrated interest in insurance coverage litigation preferredPrior civil litigation experience strongly desiredExcellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneouslyProfessional judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindsetWhat Is OfferedHands on litigation experience with meaningful client exposureMentorship and direct access to experienced trial attorneysA collegial, team oriented work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and long term advancementCompetitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience Benefits include a full benefits package, competitive compensation with benefits, hybrid work arrangements, mentorship and professional development, health insurance coverage (medical), retirement benefits (commonly a 401(k) plan), paid time off and vacation policy, and bonus eligibility for attorneys.For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
