Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney
Location: Bala Cynwyd, PA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 per year
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney to join a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice. The successful candidate will handle complex medical malpractice matters from case evaluation through trial, providing exceptional advocacy for injured clients.
This position is intended for an attorney whose primary practice focuses on plaintiff medical malpractice litigation . Candidates whose experience is primarily in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, general personal injury, or medical malpractice defense will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage plaintiff medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution or trial.
  • Develop litigation strategy for complex medical negligence matters.
  • Analyze medical records and identify liability issues.
  • Work closely with medical experts and prepare expert witness testimony.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including physicians, healthcare providers, and expert witnesses.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Represent clients during hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
  • Prepare cases for trial and serve as lead or first-chair trial counsel when appropriate.
  • Negotiate settlements while maintaining a strong trial-focused approach.
  • Provide exceptional client communication throughout the litigation process.
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of plaintiff medical malpractice litigation experience.
  • Proven record of handling complex medical malpractice litigation.
  • Significant jury trial experience in medical malpractice cases.
  • Extensive experience evaluating medical records, expert reports, and medical evidence.
  • Experience working with medical experts and expert witness testimony.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-value litigation caseload.
Bar Admissions
  • Active and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar .
  • Active and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar .
Skills
  • Exceptional courtroom advocacy and trial presentation.
  • Advanced legal research and legal writing skills.
  • Strong deposition, motion practice, and settlement negotiation experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have substantial experience handling plaintiff-side medical malpractice matters, including:

  • Surgical errors
  • Failure to diagnose or delayed diagnosis
  • Birth injuries
  • Wrongful death arising from medical negligence
  • Catastrophic injury cases involving medical malpractice
