Associate Attorney | Bankruptcy, Business Restructuring & Commercial Matters | Iowa
I'm partnering with a growing boutique law firm in Iowa that is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its practice representing business owners and agricultural clients facing complex financial, restructuring, and operational challenges.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys solving legal, financial, and business problems and wants to develop expertise in a specialized practice involving bankruptcy, debt restructuring, commercial litigation, business law, and related matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on legal, financial, and business issues
- Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Manage client communications and provide practical, solution-oriented counsel
- Work closely with experienced attorneys on complex and impactful matters
- Help clients navigate significant business and financial challenges
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed in Iowa or actively pursuing Iowa licensure
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Bankruptcy and debt restructuring
- Commercial litigation
- Business law
- Secured lending and loan transactions
- Real estate matters
- Agricultural law
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Interest in learning the business and agricultural industries
