Associate Attorney

The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney at Shaw & Wiar P.C. located in Dallas, TX. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating settlements, and specializing in litigation, motions, pleadings, depositions, along with pretrial work. We handle transactional disputes and all around work that helps physicians, clinics, and practice managers.

Responsibilities

1. Provide legal support to clients and assist attorneys
2. Maintain client relationships
3. Prepare legal reports and documents
4. Be active in client development, networking, and involved in attorney/judge organizations

Qualifications

1. Admittance to the state bar required
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Experience in insurance defense, healthcare law, medical malpractice defense, or similar field is preferred
