Associate Attorney

Our client is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its growing Chicago office. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Illinois and have experience litigating Illinois workers' compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution, including trial and appeal.
• Take depositions, gather evidence, and develop litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal opinions, appeals, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Handle court motions, court calls, pretrial proceedings, and related litigation matters.
• Represent clients before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Prepare and handle appeals as necessary.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal representation.
• Manage an appropriate caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong client service.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.
• At least one year of experience litigating Illinois workers' compensation claims.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and handle all aspects of a case.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
