Position Overview

LHH is working with a respected law firm is seeking a Contract Litigation Attorney to support a busy landlord/tenant practice. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of housing-related litigation matters, providing immediate courtroom exposure and hands-on case management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle landlord/tenant litigation matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses
• Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and arbitrations
• Take and defend depositions as needed
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on litigation strategy

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Washington State Bar license preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
• Prior landlord/tenant experience preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Housing law
• Fair Housing Act matters
• Civil litigation
• Legal aid or tenant advocacy work

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $55 - $85 per hour

Location: Bellevue, WA (100% In-Office)

Employment Type: Contract Attorney

Duration: Open-Ended / Project-Based (Potential Extension/Direct Hire- Based on Business Needs)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
