Job Description:
Our client, a respected law firm in Maryland, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with commercial litigation experience to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated business disputes, work closely with clients, and manage matters through all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and support trial preparation
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
- Negotiate settlements and assist with alternative dispute resolution proceedings
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex business disputes
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active Maryland bar admission required
- Experience handling commercial litigation matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience xhqgsiq with discovery, motions practice, and court appearances
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in state and federal courts
- Trial preparation and deposition experience
- Background working with business clients on complex disputes
