Think Olympus.The Associate Actuary is a new role in our Actuarial Department to support our growing company! This role will help drive business decisions through data, analytics, and strategic insights. In this role, you'll work closely with the Director of Actuarial Services on pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, and analytics that support teams across the organization.
This is a great opportunity for an ACAS credentialed professional looking to continue growing technically while gaining exposure to Florida's dynamic property insurance market.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform actuarial analyses related to pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, and analyticsSupport regulatory rate filings and related reportingPartner with teams across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and ITPresent findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesAssist with catastrophe exposure reviews, profitability studies, and reinsurance analysisConduct competitor research and risk segmentation analysisIdentify opportunities to improve models, workflows, and reporting processesStay current on Florida insurance trends and regulatory developmentsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related fieldACAS designation required (near-completion candidates may be considered)5+ years of actuarial or Property & Casualty insurance experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced SQL and Excel skillsExperience with Python, R, or similar programming languagesAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectivelyFlorida residential insurance experience preferredExperience with Power BI, Tableau, catastrophe modeling, or GIS tools is a plusEEO Compliance Olympus Insurance Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
