Assistive Technology Consultant Part Time

Job Duties

• Conduct assistive technology evaluations and provide services in accordance with students' IEPs.
• Recommend, customize, adapt, maintain, and support the use of assistive technology devices to enhance student functional capabilities.
• Provide training and technical assistance to students, families, and educational staff.
• Collaborate with families and educational teams to coordinate assistive technology services and support student needs.

Locations

• Alexander, Attica, Batavia, & Letchworth

Salary range

• $50,000-$70,000 @ .5 FTE = $25,000-$35,000
• Negotiable based on experience

Starting date

• September 1, 2026

Qualifications

• Permanent or Professional NYS Certification in one of the following:
  • Speech and Hearing Handicapped
  • Speech and Language Disability
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Special Education OR
• Initial certification will be considered for temporary or part time positions, but in most cases, experience in this position cannot be used to convert to a professional certificate.

Prefer Candidates with the following experience

• Prior experience teaching students with disabilities is strongly preferred. Experience with Assistive Technology preferred
