As a Program Director with Good Shepherd, you will make a difference each and every day by helping to ensure that the services we provide are delivered with the greatest care. You will be responsible for the successful operation of our Becker Assisted Living program. In this role you will hire, coach and supervise the employees on your team.Assisted Living Program DirectorConduct intakes/assessments of residents as needed to determine needs and servicesCoordinate with Social Service Intake Coordinator and Assisted Living RN to develop a plan of action to fulfill resident needsEnsure services are provided as detailed in the plan of care/service agreement at the time of admission and as needs changeSet a professional standard of positive leadership in daily coaching, training and communicationParticipate in the hiring/orientation process for new staff and coordinate/participate in all trainingEnsure adequate 24-hour staffing to meet the needs of residentEnsure Life Enrichment services are provided as scheduled to meet resident needsEnsure a healthy and safe environment is maintainedWork with Good Shepherd’s Marketing/Welcome Center to proactively promote the Assisted Living programCoordinate services to address routine resident and family requests/concernsAssist with move-in/move-out paperwork and unit transfersParticipate in budget development and the accomplishment of budgetary goalsCoordinate the delivery of food and ensure food handling standards are followed per licensure requirementsMaintain current understanding of MDH, DHS and Housing licensure/regulatory compliance factors related to Assisted Living programWork with the VP of Outreach to establish goals/processes that improve customer service, quality of life and staff education/retentionProgram Director BenefitsGenerous Paid Time OffEarned Safe & Sick Time OffFREE Option for Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance for Employee401K with Company MatchEmployee Referral BonusTuition Reimbursement & Scholarship OpportunitiesProgram Director QualificiationsAssisted Living Director in Residency required to obtain upon hire and Licensed Assisted Living Director License obtained within 1 year of hire3-years’ experience working with older adults3-years’ experience with direct supervision of staff preferredDemonstrated organizational, leadership, professional interpersonal communication skill both written and verbalAbility to effectively communicate in English in both verbally and in writingMust have proficient computer skillsProject, program, and budget development experienceMust be able to work independently, have strong organization skills, be self-motivated and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentMust have a current, valid Driver’s License with no driving violations within the standards of Good Shepherd’s insurabilityKeywords: Program Director, Leadership, Licensed Assisted Living Director, LALD, Geriatrics, Long Term Care, LTC, Assisted Living, AL
