Overview

Assistant Vice President, Equities Delta One Middle Office Senior Analyst – Senior operations role within Citi's Equities Delta One Middle Office, part of the Prime Finance division. Primary operational partner for a portfolio of key Prime Brokerage clients trading Equity Swaps and Participatory Notes. Focused on client service, trade lifecycle management, and operational excellence, with ownership of complex operational delivery and mentoring responsibilities. May lead platform improvement initiatives in a growth area for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the dedicated operational point of contact for a portfolio of key Prime Brokerage clients; manage and enhance relationships, onboard new clients to the platform.
  • Trade Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle for Equity Swaps and P-Notes, including execution, allocation, settlements, and complex query resolution (including fails management).
  • Operational Risk & Control: Proactively manage operational risk by adhering to and enhancing the established control framework; strengthen the control environment.
  • Business Partnership & Regional Growth: Liaise with Front Office Sales and Trading to support client growth and expansion in Asia.
  • Process & System Enhancement: Drive operating model evolution; partner with business and technology on system enhancements to increase scalability; reduce manual touchpoints and de-risk processes.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering continuous improvement and deep product expertise.

Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 5-8 years in a relevant, client-facing role (e.g., Middle Office, Prime Brokerage Operations, Trade Support).
  • Product Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cash Equity and Equity Swaps (or related Equity Derivatives) and the full trade lifecycle (trade capture, settlements, reconciliations); experience with Corporate Actions is a plus.
  • Client Focus: Proven track record of delivering exceptional client service; strong communication skills; ability to lead client meetings and manage key relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills; ability to make sound judgments in dynamic situations; track record of process improvements, automation, and technology projects.
  • Mindset: Proactive, results-oriented, with focus on risk management and a strong control environment; able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
