Assistant Store Manager

Southampton, NY / Assistant Manager, Full-Time

We are seeking a dynamic & experienced individual to join our retail team as an Assistant Manager at our store in Southampton, NY. You will assist with day-to-day operations, staffing & leading the team, clienteling, and inventory management. We’re looking for someone who has a “no task is too big or too small” attitude and enjoys wearing many hats. The ideal candidate is passionate about the in-store customer experience and excited to help grow the Julia Amory brand presence in Southampton.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
• Strong sales, operational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work independently
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and support a small team
• Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
• Availability to work during the week & on weekends

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store team and creating an exceptional experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Delivering an exceptional customer experience for all customers visiting the store
• Assisting with day-to-day store operations and ensuring the store is maintained to Julia Amory standards
• Problem solving in real time and addressing customer questions, feedback, and concerns
• Assisting with recruiting, hiring, and training members of the retail sales team based on the needs of the business
• Supporting staff scheduling, team leadership, and daily store management
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships through clienteling
• Assisting with inventory management, visual merchandising, shipping/receiving, events, and miscellaneous operational tasks
• Communicating customer feedback and business needs with the corporate team

• This position is classified as a full-time hourly position
• Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods
