Scooter’s Coffee on E 70th Street in Shreveport is looking for an Amazing Assistant Store Manager to help lead a team of baristas to be Amazing! Responsibilities of Assistant Manager include, but are not limited to:
Leading & Coaching the Team
- Lead team while the Store Manager is not present
- Direct the barista station workflow and maintain quality and speed of service
- Maintain confident, positive demeanor during stressful circumstances
- Provide feedback and encouragement to employees
- Ensure baristas are aware, knowledgeable, and coached in their top 3 priorities (Training, Friendliness, and Speed)
- Answer questions and field team member phone calls as needed
- Use good judgment to know when to contact Store Manager when necessary
- When warranted, administer necessary disciplinary actions to include written warnings, corrective action forms, and behavioral documentation
Paperwork Tasks & Meetings
- Assist with inventory and enter Harvest order in shopping cart each week
- Provide assistance in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees
- Assist with scheduling team members
- Check store email address daily (during scheduled working hours) and respond to emails from Corporate and Red Rock Java,Inc.Leadership Team in a timely fashion
- Other tasks as assigned by Store Manager and Store Owner at their discretion
- Attend monthly/quarterly meetings with the Store Manager and/or Store Owner. Bring any ideas for growth, professional development needs, and questions to this meeting.
Schedule
- Serve as the Manager when Store Manager is off shift
- Know all aspects of being an excellent barista
- Lead and coach your team through rushes
- Focus on an over-the-top customer experience
- Maintain store cleanliness both inside and outside
- Upsell drink size, food, and drink add-ins
- Hold team members accountable for all company policies and procedures
- Serve as point of contact for team member questions
- This includes being available for phone calls and handling personnel situations as they arise
- Coach the team as to what constitutes an emergency and, therefore, a phone call
- Maintain flexibility to work nights and weekends in order to train new team members, or re-train existing team members

- Work closely with Store Manager and Owner to maximize sales growth /retention
