Essential Function

Assistant Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication and consistent accountability. When the Store Manager is absent, they assume all primary duties.

Primary Duties

• Brand (30%) – Provides supervision and supports the direction planning of associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience that maximizes sales, KPIs and drives customer loyalty. Emphasis is placed on both in‑store and omni‑channel models. Ensures all brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.) and acts as the main point of contact for resolving customer issues.
• People (30%) – Engages, trains and develops teams to achieve positive results. Leverages internal hiring platforms, actively recruits, and builds a strong network of external candidates. Identifies strengths and development opportunities for associates, coaching or counseling as needed. Holds the team accountable to company policies and maintains positive relations through timely communication.
• Operations (30%) – Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies such as omni‑channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manages inventory through ordering and shipment processing, payroll hours, and schedules. Oversees correct store opening and closing procedures.
• Store Management (10%) – Manages inventory, payroll, and schedules. Ensures store opening/closing procedures are performed correctly. Timely and accurate follow‑through with company directives and projects.
• Safety / Loss Prevention – Maintains a safe environment, enforces all policies and procedures, protects company assets, and ensures compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
• Effective communication with team and management.
• Scheduling availability to meet business needs.
• Cosmetology license desirable but not required.
