Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Owasso, OK, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative tasks. This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring a clean, organized sales floor. The Assistant Store Manager helps drive customer satisfaction by greeting customers, responding to questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with staff scheduling, coaching team members, monitoring inventory, supporting basic retail loss prevention practices, and contributing to sales targets through effective merchandising and product presentation. The role also involves completing reports, responding to emails, and coordinating store communication, some of which can be performed remotely.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers and team members.
- Candidates should possess Store Management skills, such as overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, and maintaining store standards.
- Candidates should possess basic Retail Loss Prevention awareness, including monitoring for shrink and following security procedures.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include prior retail or customer-facing experience, basic math and cash-handling abilities, comfort with point-of-sale systems, and the ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability in attendance, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed are beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; supervisory experience in a retail setting is a plus.
