Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Portage, MI. This position supports daily store operations, including overseeing sales floor activities, ensuring visual merchandising standards, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. The role involves coaching and guiding store associates, promoting excellent customer service, and helping resolve customer inquiries and concerns. The Assistant Store Manager assists with inventory control, supports retail loss prevention procedures, and helps monitor sales results to achieve performance goals. This role collaborates closely with the Store Manager to implement company policies, uphold brand standards, and foster a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
• Effective Communication abilities for interacting with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Experience with Store Management, including supervising staff and overseeing daily operations.
• Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and basic inventory control.
• Previous retail or fashion retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, retail management, or related fields is a plus.
