Salary Range: $95,000 to $120,000 + bonus eligibility

Purpose:

To assist the Store Manager and team to drive sales generation through proactive outreach and client relationship building, delivering a world class customer experience in the store. In this role you will also support the store manager with coaching, developing and mentoring the team members. You will work in lockstep to help develop and optimize the store strategy and profitability, and grow the existing customer base, while ensuring the team is high-performing as exceptional Manolo Blahnik ambassadors.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and mentoring

  • Coach and mentor team members to meet and exceed their daily and weekly goals and KPI targets.
  • Assist in the management and delivery of product training and client service training.
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members and corporate partners as needed.
  • Maintain and assist in the creation of a respectful work environment in keeping with company culture and values.

Strategy and Analysis

  • Collect and provide feedback alongside the manager for the VP-Commercial and retail merchandiser regarding product assortments and volume to drive sales and exceed targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness through regular market studies of competitors, assortments, price points and clientele (both local and visiting) with a view to highlighting additional sales opportunities.
  • Assist in managing the collating, analysis, reporting and evaluating of sales.
  • Record and update sales performance, such as sell-throughs and product feedback.
  • Integral part of managing and preparing two major seasonal sales events and additional in-store sales events.
  • Provide both analytical and qualitative feedback to wider business and commercial stakeholders.

Client Experience

  • Provide exceptional client experience and service; provide personalised and timely after-sales service to clients, dealing effectively with client complaints.
  • Demonstrate high level of product knowledge (storytelling, features and benefits, etc.) and coach team members.
  • Develop strong, long-lasting, commercial relationships with clients, establishing a regular client base and providing support to team members to ensure all sales opportunities are optimized.
  • Develop relationships with surrounding businesses and brands to help grow and develop the MB business and assist in the management of special client events.

Operational Excellence

  • Champion retail excellence, ensuring unwavering presentation standards and service are consistently in accordance with brand standards and company values.
  • Co-ownership of store operations including payroll, commissions, cash management, and invoice processing.
  • Accountable for educating team members on effective implementation of merchandising guidelines, replenishment methods and housekeeping standards to ensure that the store is always represented at the highest level.
  • Support operations and retail merchandising to ensure effective management of stock layouts, rotations, recalls, Omni-channel fulfilment and stock take/audit preparation and execution.
  • Work with head office facilities manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Any other tasks as requested.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a retail management role within the luxury industry is essential.
  • Existing client portfolio and established relationships.
  • Proven commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience co-managing and leading successful teams; strong motivational team-building skillset to drive excellence in results and all aspects of client experience.
  • Excellent analytical, report-writing skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strong, solutions-based, proactive mindset.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong, effective presentation skills and ability to interface with a diverse range of people at all levels.
