$27.00–$31.00 per hour, plus monthly store performance bonus Onsite retail leadership role
About The Opportunity
The Assistant Store Manager is the Store Manager’s second-in-command and a senior leader on the floor. This role is ideal for someone with strong retail leadership experience who enjoys selling, coaching, driving results, and owning the operational details that keep a busy store running smoothly.
As part of a brand-new store opening, this person will have the opportunity to help establish the team culture, build strong client relationships, and make an immediate impact on the store’s success.
What You Will Do
- Lead the sales floor, set the service pace, assign priorities, and support a premium customer experience.
- Sell, style, and build lasting client relationships alongside the team.
- Coach associates and Key Holders in real time on selling, product knowledge, clienteling, and performance.
- Help drive key store metrics including sales, conversion, average order value, units per transaction, traffic, and clienteling.
- Support hiring, team development, performance conversations, and future leadership growth.
- Own opening and closing procedures, cash handling, deposits, POS integrity, and store readiness.
- Support inventory accuracy, loss prevention, scheduling, payroll review, and California meal and rest-period compliance.
- Step into acting Store Manager responsibilities when needed, including team leadership, customer escalations, and operational decisions.
What We Are Looking For
- Retail experience with keyholder, shift lead, or leadership responsibility.
- Strong selling and clienteling background, ideally in premium, specialty, or jewelry retail.
- Comfort discussing store performance and retail KPIs.
- Experience with cash handling, opening and closing, and operational accountability.
- Strong coaching instinct, sound judgment, and clear communication.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak selling periods.
- Ability to remain active on the sales floor throughout an eight-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
