Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Primary Duties
- Brand (30%) : Supports and directs associates’ daily goals to deliver exceptional client experiences that maximize sales/KPIs and drive customer loyalty. Emphasizes both in‑store selling and Omni‑channel. Ensures brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back‑rooms, and dress code are met. Acts as main contact for customer issues and trends analysis.
- People (30%) : Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve results. Recruits external candidates, coaches, and holds associates accountable. Maintains positive associate relations, resolves concerns, and communicates effectively with peers and AM/DM. Fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Operations (30%) : Executes company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies such as Omni‑channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manages inventory, payroll hours, schedules, opening and closing procedures, and follows up on directives and projects.
- Safety/Loss Prevention (10%) : Maintains a safe environment, enforces policies, protects assets, and follows all inventory and cash control procedures. Utilizes reporting tools, ensures HAZMAT training, and protects company assets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
- At least 1+ year prior management experience preferred
- Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives
- Effective communication skills with team and management
- Scheduling availability to meet business needs
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, and reaching; includes lifting moderately heavy items such as shipments or record boxes.
- Regular use of office equipment; requires safe practices to avoid trips, falls, and to observe fire regulations.
- Work may entail traveling between stores and operating in a retail environment that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
