At Kilwins, we don’t just sell sweet treats; we create them! We’re looking for a positive, growth-minded and hands-on and creative Assistant Store Manager to lead our Fort Collins Team. This is a unique opportunity to manage a team, delight customers, and become a confection artisan, producing our gourmet treats with training provided by Kilwins.

Position: Assistant Store Manager

Location: Fort Collins, CO

Job Type: ¾ Time to Full-time

Compensation: Competitive annual pay with performance incentives

Responsibilities

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will:

  • Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of enthusiastic staff, ensuring exceptional customer service that reflects Kilwins’ values.
  • Attitude: Must be positive and lead with a firm but kind heart. Managing the details and guiding entry-level staff is a coaching strength and must.
  • Confection Production: Craft Kilwins’ iconic treats, including gourmet caramel apples, hand-paddled fudge, hand-dipped chocolates, graham crackers, shortbread cookies, pretzel rods, corns, brittles, caramel apples and more. Training will be provided to ensure you master our signature recipes.

Deadlines change, and there are lots of moving parts. You must be flexible and have the ability to pivot, while not losing sight of the details.
  • Gift Packaging/Presentation/Visual Merchandising: Amazing attention to detail, beautiful gift packaging and the drive to merchandise is a must. That means, right down to every little label, paper inserts, and tying bows uniformly and according to the owner’s prototypes, is a must.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales growth by meeting and exceeding revenue targets and implementing creative promotional strategies.
  • Customer Experience: Create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests, addressing concerns and ensuring each visit is memorable.
  • Count Drawers: Honesty and dependability. Make change and count drawers.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships within the Northern Colorado community through events, partnerships, and promotions to enhance Kilwins’ local presence.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations.
