Assistant Store Manager - Favorite Daughter - MADISON AVE

Favorite Daughter is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support overall store performance and nurture a culture of sales excellence and brand passion. The role focuses on delivering exemplary customer service, motivating the team, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities

Sales Generation

• Lead by example to achieve sales goals and KPIs
• Assist Store Manager in analyzing reports to identify opportunities for best sellers, product sell-through, stock levels, and employee productivity
• Set measurable performance standards and goals based on Company expectations and metrics
• Collaborate with Store Manager to identify local marketing opportunities to build customer base
• Create additional business opportunities by ensuring team focuses on strong customer relationships

Customer Service

• Ensure all associates deliver the highest level of service to meet World Class Service standards
• Maintain constant client communication through client books and database
• Resolve client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
• Assist sales associates with customer service issues such as dissatisfied customers, returns, and defects
• Empower associates to make decisions in the customer’s best interest while supporting Company philosophy

Operations

• Maintain facility presentation, organization, and safety
• Follow cash control procedures, including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash
• Control store expenses, maintain budgets, and seek cost reductions
• Process deliveries timely and monitor inventory movement per Shipping/Receiving policies
• Meet inventory accuracy and shrink requirements
• Train staff on register usage and maintenance and execute management register functions
• Support loss prevention, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management
• Maintain communication with corporate, regional, mall, and other stores
• Use company computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiently

Merchandising / Visual

• Follow merchandising directives and execute effective strategies
• Collaborate with logistics and product teams for appropriate store assortment
• Keep the selling floor neat, clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Ensure displays and fixtures reflect current visual direction
• Communicate product concerns and inventory needs to the corporate retail team

Human Resources

• Communicate HR issues to Store Manager timely and effectively
• Assist with payroll processes
• Maintain professional image and grooming standards and adhere to Dress Code Policy

Candidate Fit

• Preferred minimum 3 years of luxury retail management experience leading a sales team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• PC literate – Excel, Word, Outlook

Education

College Degree preferred but not mandatory.

Salary

$30.00‑$33.00 per hour
