KENZO, French fashion brand is currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join the Woodbury Boutique! The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, deeply passionate about fashion and retail. This position is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in enforcing operational policies, sales support, training, and stock management.

  • Develop, train and continuously motivate associates toward achieving and exceeding personal and category sales objectives while applying retail excellence;
  • Demonstrate leadership by playing an active role on the selling floor, coaching and promoting teamwork;
  • Manage and lead team efforts in clienteling including effective usage of resources and services to promote new client acquisition and retention;
  • Meet business goals as defined by management;
  • Assist in facilitating solutions to customer issues in addition to directly managing escalated customer issues or complaints;
  • Support sales staff by packing customer purchases and processing sales when needed;
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service;
  • Enforce compliance with policies and procedures;

Operations:

  • Perform daily opening/closing procedures and reporting as directed;
  • Manage supply and stock levels in a timely manner to support the needs of the business;
  • Maintain an accurate inventory by assisting Stock Associate with category cycle counts;
  • Ensure store visual merchandising standards are met and maintained;
  • Review sales frequently and take action on visual merchandising to maximize sales

Staff Training and Development:

  • Coaching Sales Associates on the spot to give clear constructive feedback based on facts and observations;
  • Assist Store Manager by making recommendations towards the recruitment and development of associates;
  • Identify associate training needs to be shared with the Store Manager and implement regular category meetings;
  • Provide training and direction to staff;
  • Shared responsibility for P&L of the store;
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards by regularly following up with operations and executing initiatives as needed;

Profile

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • 3+ years’ experience in a luxury retail environment with 1+ years managing people
  • Previous work experience with a European and/or Luxury brand strongly desired
  • Entrepreneurial perspective and ability to succeed in fast changing environments
  • College Degree preferred
  • Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends and opportunities
  • Proven experience driving positive customer interactions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Passion to inspire and influence a team with a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Additional information

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000-$80,000 salary. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including:
