Our clients come from all walks of life, and so do we, making us stronger together.This role is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with various project management support including participation in meetings, coordination with the scheduling and cost controls teams, evaluating changes, preparing project reports, etc. This position will report to the assigned Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or designated Client Lead. Projects will occur within the aviation industry.

As we continue to grow our staff at Tampa International Airport (TPA), we have an immediate need for an Assistant Project Manager to support our ongoing projects. The Assistant Project Manager will be fully dedicated to airport projects. The Assistant Project Manager will be expected to be on-site at TPA 5 days a week as part of the integrated project delivery team. Our Assistant Project Manager will support projects as part of a larger program at the airport.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specificationsAssist the Project Manager with writing technical documents, testing plans, and proposalsPlans, specifications, and cost estimatesConfer with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to discuss work procedures, complaints and construction problemsMake recommendations to the Project Manager or own project adjustments accordinglyAssist the Project Manager to oversee project staff and aid in the investigation of potential situations, evaluate potential problems and make recommendations regarding corrective action to the Project ManagerComplete daily, weekly, and monthly reports concerning work progress, costs and scheduling Review project schedule; coordinate schedule updates and distribute internally and externallyRepresent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetingsReview contracts and facilitate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsHelp negotiate professional and contractual service agreementsWork with the Project Manager to understand the financial aspects of the contract(s) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the clientProvide support to the Project Manager to help ensure those project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality (Recommend opportunities for improvement)Develop, draft, and review proposed construction plans and specifications to meet client requirements for interior renovations and remodelsProduce and present space planning and programming documents to the ownerPrepare and monitor punch list itemsPerform other duties as required/directedRequirementsA bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering, or equivalent work experience; EIT or Professional Engineer a plus2+ years of experience in design, engineering, construction, or project management; experience in airport project or a large scale projectsExperience in project documentation during the construction phase of a project (RFIs, submittals, etc.)Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflictEffective oral and written communication skillsProficient analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to balance multiple priorities, work and communicate effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlinesExperience using MS Office suite and industry related project management software; MicroStation or AutoCAD a plusCompany BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision insurance options for employees and familyHealth Savings and Flexible Spending Account options availableCompany-provided group life, short and long-term disability, and voluntary life optionsMatching 401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysFlexible work schedulesStudent debt repayment resources availableProfessional development and tuition assistanceID Theft protectionCompany-sponsored social eventsEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/DisabledAn Equal Opportunity Employer.
