Assistant Project ManagerWe are currently representing a well-established General Contractor seeking experienced Assistant Project Managers to support delivery of critical public infrastructure projects across California. With a strong pipeline of K-12, DSA-regulated, and Public Works projects, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact work while growing into a future leadership position.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout on K-12, DSA, or Public Works assignmentsSupport project managers in coordinating all construction phases to ensure timely, budget-conscious deliveryParticipate in preconstruction activities such as constructability reviews, estimating, and bid supportHelp track budgets, prepare cost reports, and support change order documentationAssist with subcontractor procurement, bid evaluations, and contract preparationMonitor project schedules and update timelines with input from field teamsSupport documentation control, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutesHelp ensure compliance with safety standards, DSA guidelines, and QA/QC expectationsCoordinate communications between the field, project teams, and stakeholdersAssist in final closeout activities, including punch list tracking and project turnoverQualificationsMinimum of 3+ years of experience in construction, preferably on DSA, K-12, or Public Works projectsFamiliarity with California public contracting procedures and DSA complianceExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office SuiteBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferredStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to support multiple projects and work collaboratively in team settingsCompensation + BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonus structure401(k) with employer matchMedical premiums covered with reimbursement options for vision and dentalFlexible Spending Account (FSA) for medical and personal expensesLong-term disability insurancePaid vacation, holidays, and sick time
